DESCRIPTION
Bacti-Bio 9500 is a powder concentrate designed to digest a broad range of substrates. The multiple microbial strains in Bacti-Bio 9500 are naturally occurring and nonpathogenic. The select strains are hyperproducers of amylase, protease, cellulase, keratinase, lipase and pectinase enzymes. Several strains produce biosurfactants. .

CHARACTERISTICS
Bacti-Bio 9500 is a tan colored powder. The operating pH range is 6.0 to 9.0 with an optimum range of 7.5. The most effective temperature range is from 25 C to 55 C (77 F - 131 F) with an optimum temperature of about 30 C. Bacti-Bio 9500 also contains biodegradable surfactants which aid in the cleaning process. Bacti-Bio 9500 contains at least 2 billion CFU's per gram.

BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT PROGRAM

The success of any biological treatment program is dependent on the existence of favorable operating conditions and practices. Monitoring is required throughout the period of microbial treatment to ensure that such conditions and practices are maintained. The amount and frequency of treatment is specific to each individual biological treatment application. The specifics of each situation should be analyzed in detail before designing a corrective program. Specifics should include at least the following if applicable:
Size of the treatment plant
Volume and flow of wastewater to be treated
Retention time
Profile of wastewater to be treated: BOD, COD, TSS, TPH, TOG, pH, temperature, chemical components including heavy metals
Required standards of treatment to be achieved
Desired time frame for achieving standard of treatment

The treatment program will generally involve a heavier startup dose, possibly administered over a period of days, and a maintenance dose. In some instances with complex waste streams the use of a combination of Bacti-Bio formulations or a unique formulation may be recommended to obtain the best results.

Determination of the optimum maintenance dose is usually accomplished in the field by reducing the amount of frequency of the dose gradually until deterioration in performance is noted. The most recent preceeding effective dose rate is noted and maintained until conditions or standards change necessitating a change in the treatment program.

BENEFITS
Treated systems will reduce BOD and COD faster and more efficiently, enabling the system to treat higher volumes of waste and meet stringent effluent quality requirements. The system will be better able to resist temporary disruptions caused by toxic influent, while reducing odors and sludge volume. In aerobic sludge digesters, digestion will be more complete for less volume, easier dewatering, and higher nutrient value.

Although the following list is not comprehensive, the general intended uses for Bacti-Bio 9500 include:

  • Wastewater treatment
  • Lagoons and polishing ponds
  • Sewage and septic treatment including lift stations, sewer mains, laterals
  • Drain build up removal and maintenance
  • Meat packing waste water treatment

STORAGE
Storage in a cool, dry place is recommended, but Bacti-Bio 9500 may be stored at normal room temperature. Avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures. Bacti-Bio 9500 will remain stable over a 12 month or longer period under recommended storage conditions.
